Story & Roots

Our Story: From Mama Na's Yard to Your Cup

Listen closely: healing isn't a trend; it’s a homecoming.

Growing up Haitian, medicine didn't come in a plastic bottle with a childproof cap. It came from the yard. It came from the quiet, rhythmic sound of leaves being sorted on the porch, the sharp, grounding scent of fresh ginger and lemongrass boiling over the fire, and the absolute law passed down by the women who raised us: nature provides, if you only have the patience to listen.

Years later, when chronic gastritis tried to turn my daily life into a battlefield of burning pain and endless discomfort, the modern world offered me Band-Aids. But my spirit—and my stomach—cried out for something real. I went back to what I knew in my bones. I turned back to the herbs, roots, and soothing rituals of my childhood. I blended, I steeped, I listened to the earth, and I healed.

That is how Belly Blend was born. We aren't just selling dried leaves in a pouch; we are passing down a legacy. We are handing you the key to your own reset button, wrapped in the fierce love of an auntie who refuses to let you stay unwell, and the gentle patience of a cousin who sits with you while you sip.

Our Mission

To bring you closer to the earth—and closer to yourself—through flavorful, uncompromisingly healthy herbal blends and the sacred, grounding ritual of steeping tea. We are here to quiet the noise of modern life, soothe your body from the root up, and remind you that wellness is your birthright, not a luxury.

Our Core Values

~Plant Authority (Wisdom Over Trends): We don't guess, and we don't follow fads. Every single ingredient we use carries a lineage of traditional healing and earthly respect. If it doesn't serve your body and respect the earth, it doesn't touch our blends.

~Unapologetic Rootedness: We honor our Haitian heritage, the island wisdom of fèy, and the global traditions of plant medicine. We bring cultural depth and authenticity to everything we curate—no shortcuts, no artificial flavorings, no dilution.

~Tough Love & Tender Care: An auntie will tell you to sit down, drink your tea, and fix your posture because she loves you too much to watch you break. We create with that same fierce, protective love. We hold high standards for our ingredients so you can hold high standards for your peace.

~The Sacred Ritual of Slowness: In a world that wants you rushing, a cup of tea demands that you pause. We believe the magic isn't just in the drinking—it’s in the watching the leaves unfurl, waiting for the water to change color, and breathing in the steam. That minute of waiting is yours. Claim it.
